Let us know what time your limo is picking up the bride and bridesmaids, so we can make sure we don’t hold up the proceedings with that, ‘one final shot’.

Don’t forget that we can supply an S320 pure white Mercedes for the couple who wants to be with each other. Our limo has an extended wheel base to accommodate for large bridal gowns. We will have the added bonus to be able to take a few extra photographs. There will be no time constraint, or extra time charges, if you wish to leave for the reception a little later. See our Limousine hire page for details.

Preparation photos - His and Hers

Preparation photos create a continuity in the story of the day.  The coverage of the preparation is especially important if you have chosen to have a slideshow, or an Image Production.

At the bridal preparation expect clothing, bags and make up to find their way on any available surface. Don’t worry about it.  We’ve seen it all and never let it phase us.  We will be as quick as we can to get those gorgeous shots of everyone there.

With the guys, we usually try to capture the banter, camaraderie and getting dressed. There is a lot of excitement and energy in the air!

It’s important to be with the bride when she leaves for the ceremony, therefore, we cover the groom preparation first, if this is required.

Ceremony - Consult your celebrant!

Often celebrants have rules of conduct concerning the photography.

For instance, in some religious ceremonies, the photographer is prevented from taking photos during the proceedings. Sometimes photographers may not be allowed to use flash during the service, so it is vital that we are completely aware of the particular protocol of the venue.  We require the celebrant’s contact details to discuss any special requirements.

Normally celebrants are very accommodating with photographers, but we like to make sure we know what their expectations are.

Photography Venues - Time constraints

When choosing your photographic venues, consider the time factor in getting there, getting out of the limos etc. Traveling long distances between venues on a Saturday afternoon can be a waste of precious time, at the expense of a more relaxed and longer photo session.  The limo drivers, understandably, work within time constraints and will charge extra for extended time. One or two venues are often enough, but that is entirely up to you.  It’s important to give at least one and a half hours for the bridal party and romantic shots.  We do the family groups straight after the congratulations, after the ceremony, so this is where we advise you or a proxy to have a list of MUST HAVE people for  each group. Long term regrets can be avoided by not forgetting to include a particular individual in the formal groups, even if they where busy talking during the photos.

Reception - How long will we stay?

Most clients will require us to stay for the beginning of the reception, until the first course is served.  We cover the bridal entrance, and the mock cutting of the cake as well as taking photographs of the venue, including table settings and guests. We make sure we’re happy that we’ve given you our complete attention before leaving you to enjoy your party. If you want us to stay for the celebrations, bridal waltz and the exit, we do require a sit down meal, (somewhere out of the way is fine, as long as it’s not the stairwell, as was the case once upon a time..). The extra coverage will be something that should be arranged at the time of booking: extra coverage will be charged as of our pricing structure: please enquire..

After the honeymoon - Viewing appointment

We truly enjoy showing the images; after all, these are to become your heirlooms and are going to be the clearest memory of the biggest day of your life! By this time we would have carefully retouched, adjusted and pampered those precious images during many post-production hours. We need to be satisfied and happy with the results, as well as you do.

We will make a booking with you well in advance, so that you have something definite to look forward to on your return.

If you have bought an Image Production, you will have already supplied us with your choice of music, so that there is no hold up in production.  If you’ve bought an album, you will view our draft design on a PDF file. Pages can be added to the album design, and we will discuss the detail with you, at the time.

What we need before your wedding date

A few days before the wedding when all the venues are sorted, times are finalized and everything is organized, we’ll need an itinerary with a list of times and venues. You can easily email this to us. This way, we know exactly where we’re meant to be and at what time.

Also, please allocate a family member, or good friend with a list of all family and friends that you wish to be included in the group photos at the preparation session. We advice that the minimum group photographs should be taken at this stage. More family photos can be covered after the ceremony, or at the reception.

Printing your images

We do strongly recommend professional printing for you wedding prints.

Your wedding photographs deserve professional care at every stage.

We use local professional printers, who use the latest equipment and highest quality paper.

We can offer options of different paper surfaces and quality; like art papers, matt, glossy, metallic, or textured.

Copyright Information - Your personal rights

With all our packages you receive high resolution (JPG - high) files on DVD and a CD with images ready for emailing to friends and family.  You have the right to print as many photos as you want, for personal use.  This is a shared copyright, so we retain the right to use your images for our own website. If, however, you request that we don’t, just let us know and we will respect your choice.  Most people have no objection, and your surnames will not be shown, but we understand that some couples may wish to remain private.
